Camp Otonwe Junior Counselor – Weal Program
For Campers going into grades 8 and up
Camp Otonwe Weal Program
Camp Fire’s motto is GIVE SERVICE. “Weal” is the Native American word for helper. This leadership program is open to youth that have previous camping and outdoor experience or those that have the desire to learn those skills. If you have completed seventh grade, enjoy working with children, possess a positive attitude and want to give back to the community, then this program may be for you. The program consists of 3 tracks: Outdoor Skills, Leadership, and Community Service. Teens will receive programming in all three areas and will have the opportunity to concentrate on one or more areas during the summer. Camp Otonwe Junior Counselor program is an excellent way to earn community service hours for school and gain experience for the CIT program at Camp Wyandot. Space is limited to 15 teens per week.
